Lenovo ThinkPad introduced the W700, a 17-inch widescreen mobile work offering unique innovations as a built-in digitizer surface and color calibration for graphic artists and designers. The new ThinkPad W700 also combines new Nvidia Quadro FX graphics and mobile Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad Core processor technology with other optional features such as dual hard drives with RAID configurations, up to 8 GB of memory high-speed DDR3 memory, a range wireless connectivity options and optional Blu-ray DVD recorder / player.The ThinkPad W700 mobile work, the first Lenovo notebook with a 17-inch display, Lenovo expands its portfolio of work, expanding the supply of the ThinkPad W500 and ThinkStation S10 and D10 work. Digital photographers will benefit from the models with built-in color calibration for WUXGA (1920x1200) 17-inch screen 400NIT brightness and a 72% range of colors (LCD typically only offer a range of 45%). The gauge automatically adjusts the color display of up to half the time of many external calibration and with greater precision, so that accurate, real-life images.
The W700 can be equipped with two internal hard drives, including solid-state disks. Lenovo offers Nvidia Quadro FX 3700M and 2700m Open GL graphics processors with up to 1GB of dedicated video memory. The hard drives can be configured for RAID 0 to help users access and store their data faster than traditional disk writing methods, or users can choose RAID 1 mirror for data redundancy.
